Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?

Well, Conservatives, you threw those Republican bums out because they were too liberal. It will be interesting to see how those of you who didn’t vote so you could "teach them a lesson" and the Talk Show Host who advocated throwing them out handle the new order. Those of you who did vote claim you voted for a "conservative" Democrat because the sitting Republican was too liberal.

It amazes me that anyone could vote for any politician without knowing where his or her party stands. The democrat leadership never gave us any idea. They just promised a new smarter way. The party leaders will determine the order of business and those newly elected "conservative Dem.’s" will be whipped into toeing what ever the party line will be.

I know why liberals voted democrat. They promised to investigate President Bush and begin impeachment proceedings against him and surrender in Iraq. But they are already backing away from the few election promises they made.

I also know why the so-called "Minorities" voted Democratic. MO money, MO money and Government programs designed to take tax money to buy the minority vote. O yea, and right to kill unborn babes.

Only G_ _ knows why Jews keep voting Democrat. The Clinton administration endorses the PLO (which is made up of Arabs who were kicked out of other Arab countries because their tendency to violence.) and makes Israel give up land conquered during war. Jimmy Carter writes books and gives speeches blaming Israel for the problems in the Middle East. Claming that a Jewish cabal sometimes called Neo-Conservatives, for making the US decisions on the Middle East. Then the Democrat controlled Iraq Study Group releases a report stating that Sunni Arabs are killing Shiite Arabs because of the existence of Israel.

And, the Jews keep voting Democrat.

It’s a new year; Democrats hold leadership positions in both the House and Senate and on all the important committees. Real Liberals are in charge now. The only saving grace is Republicans kept enough seats to keep the Dem.’s from running roughshod over the country. Well, let’s hope those Republican that remain standing got your message and have the guts to do so.

This next two years are going to be interesting.

I think I am becoming Pro Global Warming!

The other night I heard a talk show host talking about the up side of global warming so I thought I would do some research for myself. Seems he could be right. The positives seem to outweigh the negatives.

Have you noticed how the northern states are losing population because people are moving south for the warmer weather? Global warming is increasing global average temperature meaning it will get warmer in the northern states.

Then all those Yankees will go home and stop crowding our space.

They say that rising sea levels will eventually flood N.Y.C.

Don’t see the down side of that.

There will be large reductions in the Greenland and West Antarctic Ice Sheets.

More farm land to feed the world and land for realtors to sell.

I’ve read that Butterflies have shifted their ranges northward by 200 km in Europe and North America.

Now we all can see those exotic butterflies.

If its true that in the Arctic, the waters of Hudson Bay are ice-free for three weeks longer than they were thirty years ago.

That’s got to be a good thing. More shipping channels, shorter shipping time, lower cost.

They tell me, in general, but especially in rain forests trees are stimulated in growth.

More lumber for industry and the carbon monoxide will help the atmosphere.

Since 1980, glacier retreat has become increasingly rapid and ubiquitous, so much so that it has threatened the existence of many of the glaciers of the world.

So what are glaciers good for? Once again more land for the over populated planet.

When it comes to mortality they say higher temperatures in winter reduce deaths from cold resulting in a reduction in annual average mortality of 7000.

People live longer. We use less fossil fuel. Less pollution.

A reduction in runoff will affect the ability to irrigate crops and will reduce summer stream flows necessary to keep dams and reservoirs replenished.

How can melting ice reduce stream flow? Seems to me there would be more flow to irrigate crops not less.
