I have spent the better part of my adult life, catching criminals, exposing scams and swindles. I have been active in politics since my return from Vietnam in 1969. One thing I have learned is that a politician, regardless of party, will not propose, endorse or vote for any bill or law that does not bring him votes, power and/or wealth.
When they first started talking about "Global Warming" I knew it to be true and I knew from reading past studies that the sun probably causes it. When certain people (non-scientist) claim that it is being caused by man kind alarms started going off in my head. I watched the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" and thought no one would believe its message because the lies were so obvious.
When Mr. Gore appeared before a congressional committee and stated that "The debate is over!" and then called anyone who disagreed a "denier" I started looking for the "Money Trail." It didn’t take long to discover that Mr. Gore and a group of wealthy investors had formed a company to sell "Carbon Credits" and invest the money in companies working on technology to improve the environment.
Sound good doesn’t it? It seems this company only sold "Carbon Credits" to its investors and stock holders. Basically, it is a scam allowing them to invest and earn dividends while avoiding taxes and maintain their high-energy usage by buying these so-called Carbon Credits.
I have since learned that some EU countries are imposing a tax on certain Carbon, (CO2 ) producing items completely ignoring the fact that CO 2 is not a pollutant. Also that the state of California is trying to pass a bill that allows them to tax individuals on carbon producing or energy usage in the home. These are to be called "Carbon Credits". The Democrats in our Federal Government are writing a similar bill. Can you say another tax?
Additional taxes seem to be the force behind "An Inconvenient Truth." In order to make this tax appear legitimate it was necessary to label carbon (CO2) a pollutant and harmful to the environment. This is being done by the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."
