Movie stars and vocal artist appear in front of Congress and on stage to espouse causes they believe in at no benefit to themselves.

Several artist put on a program to prevent aids. "Bono sings".
His accountant deducts his normal fees for singing from his tax forms. It is a loss of income.
Then "Bono" appears before Congress challenging them to spend tax payer money on "His Cause".
(Why doesn't he demand this from his country of birth?)
Basically, he has earned millions of dollars with his name and voice, deducted his appearance from his tax forms and demanded that Congress take your money to support his favorite cause.
Is this a great country or what?
